The challenge of the project
To maintain or increase market share, a retailer needs an intuitive, automated system to manage different distributors with different data structures and standards. This is something that the Vibeit.co platform is well aware of. That’s why they decided to offer their customers who already have an existing online store on the WooCommerce platform a solution for importing the products of their preferred suppliers into their store – a custom-built WordPress plugin. Until now, Vibeit.co customers could log in to their online merch shop and set up a store. The shop could contain custom merch products as well as various products from suppliers.
Solution: creating a WordPress plugin
Based on our knowledge of WordPress, we created a custom WordPress plugin for our client. Our solution automated the import of various distributors’ products into their customers’ online stores. By standardizing different data formats, we facilitated seamless integration of product details including title, description, price and more. A tedious manual process has thus been replaced by a consistent, smooth, automated process.
When the WordPress plugin eliminated a lot of man-hours, the company started to see an improvement in customer satisfaction for those who have a WooCommerce-based online store. The accuracy of the item descriptions and the updating of changes increased the credibility of the platform. In addition, the availability of a wide range of products from multiple distributors has improved the added value of the platform.
